Cambridge TKT Preparation Course
The Cambridge TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) is an award
for English language teachers anywhere in the world. The test
aims to increase teachers’ confidence and enhance their job
prospects by focusing on the core teaching knowledge needed
by teachers of primary, secondary or adult learners. The TKT
can be taken at any stage in a teacher’s career, and is also
ideal for those who have not yet started teaching.
The TKT comprises three modules:
Module 1: Language and background to language learning
and teaching
Module 2: Lesson planning and use of resources for language
teaching
Module 3: Managing the teaching and learning process
All TKT candidates will be automatically entered for Module 1,
and can then choose the number of additional TKT modules
they wish to prepare for. Candidates will prepare for the test(s)
through input sessions and directed study, and will take them
during the final week of their course.
Entry Requirements
Your level of English should be at least level B2 of the
Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
to enable you to take part.
